Please note Landlord Gas Safety Certificates are not supplied as standard by national house builders and this should not to be confused with the commissioning certificate you get with a new build property or the installation of a new gas boiler. Landlords do need a gas safety certificate even for a brand new boiler / hob / oven / or any other gas appliance. A gas safety certificate is required to hand to tenants on their first tenancy day.
